🚨 BREAKING: State of TN audit exposes widespread violations by CVS Caremark, including discriminatory reimbursements (paying their own pharmacies up to 16,000% more than others). Tennessee pharmacists, patients, and employers deserve better. Read here: bit.ly/405ddMn

At last week’s @WaysandMeansGOP Health hearing, I spoke directly with the CEOs of our nation’s largest health insurers and pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) to address a question families are asking every year: why does health care keep getting more expensive? The answer isn’t abstract. As consolidation has accelerated, market power has concentrated—and affordability and transparency have suffered. When fewer entities control more of the system, patients feel it through higher premiums, higher deductibles, and higher out-of-pocket costs. It’s time to get back to the basics: the doctor-patient relationship. That means setting clear expectations for insurers and PBMs, restoring accountability, and advancing reforms that lower costs and protect access by putting patients—not bureaucracy or corporate complexity—at the center of care. Watch our full exchange below ⬇️:

The @JudiciaryGOP Committee’s report echoes the concerns raised in the 39‑state letter I led urging Congress to prohibit PBMs from owning or operating pharmacies. Its findings suggest a CVS PBM worked to suppress competition and raise consumer costs, underscoring the need to address PBM ownership conflicts that harm patients and local pharmacies. I will continue to work to hold PBMs accountable. thehill.com/homenews/56978…

Health care monopolies on patient care screw over working families and destroy your ability to access affordable care. All so corporate CEOs, like those from CVS Health, can pad their pockets. We must break up big medicine. We need a Glass-Steagall for Health Care.

PBM GPOs somehow generate over $50 MILLION in revenue PER EMPLOYEE! When @RepHouchin asks how PBM GPOs are so profitable, big health insurance company CEOs are left speechless. Their silence is deafening for American patients.
