The Uganda Wildlife Authority @ugwildlife and @TourismBoardUg need to address a serious issue in Queen Elizabeth National Park. There are now very few animals being seen in the park. Seeing lions has become very difficult, and visitors can drive for many kilometers without seeing even antelopes. This is disappointing for tourists. Some of my guests even asked, “Where are the animals?” This shows there is a real problem. Please look into this issue and take action so that visitors can have a better experience.

Construction of standard Gauge Railway between Kenya - Uganda is expected to be completed in 2028. In completion, this high speed transport system will reduce the travel time from 14 hours to only 4 hours between Uganda and Kenya. Tanzania on the other hand has completed her part of SGR and it's now connecting it to Rwanda and Burundi. DRC may get connected the 6,200 km East Africa's biggest transport project while South Sudan watches on.

Chimpanzees regularly fight viciously over food, mates, and rank, but only rarely do these brawls spill over into a broader civil war. Now, a study tracing 30 years of chimp behavior in Kibale National Park in Uganda reveals how and why such internecine violence erupts. The study shows how in chimps—and perhaps humans—tensions in once-peaceful groups can grow into deadly violence, even without resource shortages or cultural divisions to fuel them. All Set: All is set for the trial of Christopher Onyum Okello, the suspect in the Ggaba toddlers’ murder case. Earlier today, the Principal Judge, Lady Justice Jane Frances Abodo, inspected the Ggaba Community Church Grounds to assess readiness for the Mobile Court session. The special High Court sitting will be presided over by Lady Justice Alice Komuhangi Khaukha. This session will be the first Mobile High Court criminal session to be conducted in Kampala, highlighting the Judiciary’s commitment to taking justice closer to the people through innovative approaches. The Mobile Court will be conducted under the recently issued Mobile Courts Practice Directions by the Chief Justice, which provide the legal framework for court proceedings to be held outside conventional court premises where circumstances demand

I hope you know that you and other people who are supposed to speak for govt are partly to blame! It should be a standard protocol that when a Minister, or someone at the First Lady is sick, a statement is released taking into account her right to privacy. Every serious country does that! That way, they disarms potential rumour mongers, & their Lumbuyes, by settinh the record straight! We all fall sick, it’s human; a virtue even. Now you’re wasting everyone’s time, charging the man, and writing opinion pieces about it! Then, it’s Brigadier Naluweyiso saying the First Lady is sick and not the official channels or her office!🤦🏾

One would ask: Does it contravene press freedom if the state charges a journalist for maliciously circulating incorrect information? But why would someone falsely announce another dead? What about the effect of such misinformation on family and friends? patriots.co.ug/journalist-muk…

Uganda 🇺🇬 Uganda wants to manufacture African fire fighters and sell them to America, Asia and western countries; In a bold display of African ingenuity, President Yoweri Museveni introduced the Muliro Eater, an innovative firefighting vehicle, to ambassadors from the United States, Russia, the United Kingdom, and European Union member states. The prototype was showcased during a high-profile meeting, highlighting Uganda’s ambition to revolutionize firefighting technology on a global scale. Inspired by years of witnessing devastating fires ravage towns and regions in countries across the world, as seen on television, President Museveni spearheaded the development of the Muliro Eater. This groundbreaking vehicle merges traditional African firefighting techniques with advanced military tank technology, creating a robust and versatile solution designed to combat even the most intense blazes. During the presentation, Museveni expressed his hope that the showcased nations would embrace Uganda’s innovative proposal and become clients of this pioneering technology. The Muliro Eater represents not only a technological leap but also Uganda’s commitment to philanthropy and the promotion of African innovations on the global stage.

. @MudongDavid "On 24th March 2026, joint security teams comprising the Police and the Army conducted a well-coordinated operation that successfully disrupted several criminal cells operating within Pece Prisons Cell, Kyenjere, and the surrounding areas. During the operation, a number of suspects linked to organized criminal activities were arrested. The suspects are currently being held at Gulu City East Policing Division. They include Ochola Desmon, Okot Emma, and another individual known only by the nickname “24.” Efforts to apprehend other suspects still at large are ongoing. A number of items of evidential value were recovered during the operation, including: 10 rounds of ammunition, one pair of police uniforms, bunches of keys, four pangas and four knives, housebreaking implements, four large padlocks, mattresses, and two television sets. We remain committed to ensuring the safety and security of the public and urge members of the community to continue cooperating by providing any information that may aid in the arrest of the remaining suspects
