Researchers just published a paper proposing @Algorand for quantum resistant timestamping in open science! They even included a full step by step guide showing other researchers how to timestamp data on $ALGO! 👀 Algorand has supported post quantum Falcon signatures since 2022 through State Proofs, helping protect its entire transaction history against future quantum threats! 🔐 The paper argues that in a world of AI generated deepfakes and synthetic data, researchers need immutable proof that datasets, hypotheses and preregistrations existed at a specific point in time. Actually, this is very close to what projects like LabTrace are already building on $ALGO for medical and scientific data integrity! Let's make Algorand the reference chain for trust! 🤝

PSA for anyone building on @Algorand: Tooling fragmentation is the real killer for UX. 🧵 I spent my morning fighting a protocol deadlock just to recover a small balance. As a dev, I love the tech, but the gap between "Protocol Reality" and "User Tooling" is a chasm right now. The issue: Pera moved to the BIP-39 (24-word) "Universal" standard, but much of the legacy ALGO infra still expects the 25-word checksum format. Result? Derivation path mismatches that make accounts "invisible" to older community tools. The "Hustle": I have 2.5 $ALGO trapped because of "Local State" on a dead App ID (552635992). The Minimum Balance Requirement (MBR) is great for preventing state bloat, but when wallets don't provide a "Clear State" button for 24-word accounts, your funds are effectively in a roach motel. The Lesson: I had to dive into the browser console and manually build a ClearState txn just to bypass the UI limitations. If we want mass adoption, we can't expect users to be terminal wizards. Build "Opt-out" and "Clear State" functions directly into your DApp UIs, or users will just walk away. @MikeWildHare Yes, there are a few differences in the ways keys are derived between Ledger and Algorand xHD. Reminder to never enter your Ledger seed anywhere except a Ledger device!

Fun fact. Lute and Pera HD wallets use the same derivation algorithm. But Ledger is different. #Algorand

@Foxzard_com lute.app does work on Firefox! However, since Firefox does not support WebHID or WebUSB, you cannot connect your Ledger to it. Of course the extension is only for Chromium browsers because without Ledger support it's not worth the lift.

What wallet… • will work if WalletConnect is down? • lets you connect to your own node in case public node services are not reachable? • uses on-chain storage (instead of a proprietary backend service) to facilitate multi-sig distribution? Lute. Please support Lute in xGov!
