The salary cap goes up by about 5% each year. 24/25: 87.5m 25/26: 91.8m (Drai needs resigning after this year) 26/27: 96.3m 27/28: 101m 28/29: 106m 29/30: 111.3m 30/31: 117m 31/32: 123m 32/33: 129m 33/34: 135.5m (Drai contract ends) The law of compounding is important here. I still believe 14m is too high, but 13m is quite reasonable. 12.5m is my number.

8 wins is a row for the #Oilers but they trail #Vegas by two points with one game left in the season. If the Oilers beat the #Sharks in the final game of the season & Vegas loses in regulation to the #Kraken then Edmonton would be 1st in the Pacific & the Conference & play Jets.

@dstaples Certainly having his best year, not sure about worth the cap hit. Should not make more than 29, and would be surprised if he got that much if he hit the market - but still like him!

Darnell Nurse having his best season and has been worth his cap hit. My hunch is he will kick ass in these coming playoffs.
