Making the best of things, I think the idea of "permanence" will be interesting in Destiny going forward.
Can see myself making my own goals from here, X and Y fully maxed sets of specific set armor with a specific artifact and weapon loadout. 20 loadout slots to flip between, now.
Don't need to worry about sunsetting, vault space for future additions. We're free. I mean, we're dead. But there is freedom in death.

Is it the end of #Destiny2 content, or...

@AllGeek4 @GameOverThirty We never got resolution to so many story threads... If they announce D3 and continue where the story left off after TFS, then I'll be OK with no updates to D2. But if they choose a different timeline, D3 won't be worth so much to me.

Probably the good ending would be, finish D2, greenlight D3, keep Marathon while D3 is in development.
And then depending of how well things are going, Keep D3 and Marathon or just D3.

@Rich_DK2 @PaulTassi @Forbes Anybody says D2 should continue as is? It should have ended with TFS and now #WeWantDestiny3 & keep D2 alive with the bare minimum of tiny, inexpensive updates: some lore or loot.
The only reason D2 started failing is because they didn't do stuff players begged for UNTIL NOW.

@GameRant What do you mean "may" remain playable? It will be playable and packed with stuff to do whether you're new or returning player. And on top of that in the best possible state sandbox has ever been.
New lights will need a lot of guidance though, they missed so much.

It's not D3. Nothing is D3 but Destiny 3, officially annouced and released. But it's the best freakin' update ever to a brilliant and beloved game.
