@eduleadership I learned this by accident as a young teacher. I lost my voice and had to whisper. My first graders matched my whisper. This is when I learned getting quieter instead of louder makes a difference.

This is really good, and it probably has to be explicitly taught to teachers. It’s not something you pick up on as a student.
