For two reasons a) because I understand the English language and b) because female electricians are still quite rare, so I make the assumption that it will be male.

@observationson2 @AlexHardwick95 I will not refer to any single person as 'they'. It is ridiculous and open to misunderstanding. I will refer to that person by name until a NEW pronoun is found. And that is not because I have an issue with non-binary people. It's an issue with language.

@LynPatey @AlexHardwick95 Pretty mean to start with 'I admire' and move swiftly on to 'the problem I have...'. They're just expressing themselves in a different way from what you personally deem acceptable. Hopefully the solution to your problem lies with you, not them :)

We have very good tomato and other veg growers in this country but they are under glass and the govt has stopped subsidies that would help them increase production.
