NPI consistently gives a boost to teams in worse conferences:
PC over UMD
Cornell over Wisc
Mankato, Augustana, and St Thomas over UMA
And PWR was already giving teams in worse conferences a boost over KRACH.

@GregRudrud @trentsinger Been the same system for many years. (PWR and NPI almost identical.) The ECAC teams weren’t even close to missing this year. Your team should have won some more games.

@trentsinger Not sure I can watch another minute ECAC hockey. Mystery how these teams (Dartmouth and Cornell) got to where they did in NPI. NPI is broken if they get 4 in the tourney. IMO

The Chaos Scenario still exists: Wins by Ohio State, Merrimack and Princeton. If that happens, Wisconsin would be out and Minnesota State would be a 3 seed.
