Dear all, As you have noticed, over the past couple of weeks, I have started posting less and less, and returning messages even less than before. As such, I have decided to come forward and explain why that is happening because I believe that you deserve to know. After years of battling with a day-to-day worsening mental state, I had finally reached my breaking point and decided to seek professional help. Since then, I have been constantly working on getting better, with the help that I was receiving, but it is taking longer than expected. I have been diagnosed—among other things—with Persistent Depressive Disorder (formerly known as Dysthymia; currently known as PDD). My journey towards getting better is not only taking more time than expected; it is also not allowing me to focus on everything all at once, including my OSINT work, and since I specialize in conflicts and war monitoring, the content that I must verify and report on contributes to worsening my state at this current moment. This does NOT mean that I will stop reporting and covering conflicts; I am well versed and in-the-loop about what’s happening and I plan on staying like that for the foreseeable future, but what this means is that I need time to get back into “shape” (so to speak) to be mentally fit to cover the news. A special thanks to everyone who checked up on me, either by messaging me or in spirit; I appreciate all of you immensely, more than you think.
