I love archive documents that are just like those email chains you get cc'd into at work. In this report on the effectiveness of bombing operations on D-Day, the report is the attached PDF and these memos are the email chain. Worth following the chain through all four images...

Remember children, the navies and air forces were only support on D-Day. Be sure to tell that to veterans when you see them. They should be informed.

@neilojim1972 Hi Jim. I've transcribed GHQ location statements for British Forces Ireland in WW2 but many of the addresses are incomplete. I've taken a guess on geo referencing them and was wondering if you could have a look please?

@SeaSpitfires We were out there in April and coincidentally drove down that road. Our Vietnamese guide was a similar age to us and it was interesting to hear his opinion on this topic.

@sommecourt @Taff_Gillingham I have found some newspaper refs to Scouts and misc troops patrolling various railway structures in the area Aug - Sep 14. (There's a tunnel to the left of that image). That plot was not big enough to house many troops
