This weekend (as people were explaining to me why better has to be more expensive), I realized the drive to be right means we need to find something “wrong” with almost everything. Being right isn’t neutral. It’s a small claim to superiority. If nothing’s wrong, there’s nothing to rise above. Most arguments aren’t problem-solving. They’re quiet attempts to resolve inferiority complexes.

My gut says the current price will pull back some, but it will be short lived - we have a structural imbalance that’s completely unrelated to the war (green initiatives/demonizing investment and development for years), and the war speeds up the reckoning. Big names extended now, small caps have some good looking opportunities

@JoeStonks That’s actually an interesting thought, I am avoiding $TSM for that reason but hadn’t really connected those two dots. Worth keeping in mind - at least until the new $TSM factory in the US is fully operational.

The US has clearly shown to want leverage over China via oil trade China will invade Taiwan and take control of Taiwan Manufacturing $NVDA is NOT something to own from here on out imo. Let’s come back to this in 2030.

@M2BYRON No. MM facilitate liquidity for exchange. CTA are actual traders. They are trend followers/ momentum based. They chase trends up and down in commodities/yields/precious metals/stock indices.. they have zero care about price consequences.

I have a working theory that when the market gets choppy it concentrates speculative behavior into just a few tickers and causes a kind of paradoxical squeeze in very select memes versus broad memes. For example, back in 2022 while the index was down like 20% YTD, a scam IPO from Hong Kong trading under the ticker HKD went from $200M to having a larger market cap than Exxon Mobil. Started out as low float shenanigans but became the last refuge for meme stock traders searching for anything that would still go up. Anyway, here’s a chart of VCX.
