@Nigelrefowens No need to depower the Scrum if both sides are abiding by the rules i.e. meeting square on with bodies square to the Goal line and if the referee is enforcing the rules. The springboks got away with blatant cheating by angling into their opponents in the scrums.

Rugby is a game for all shapes and sizes. Depower the scrum anymore and you may as well watch a rugby league match. It will destroy the community game if there is no place for your good old fashioned type of prop. Keep meddling with the game and you will destroy it.
