Now the Israelis are invading Lebanon and 1 million people or more are displaced and over 700000 dead including Christians…including a priest…including women and children. When are you going to denounce this killing of civilians? Israel calls it collateral damage but too many people are dead or injured. People around the world see this…see what Israel has done and are shocked and horrified by what has happened. Today, I heard the words of true solidarity. What it means to stand up for the other. @nhclc has raised the bar for interfaith solidarity- “We are what we tolerate.”
I would like to walk into a mosque and listen to an Imam who will speak as eloquently on unity and solidarity and the Abrahamic Values that unites Jews, Muslims and Christians.

Sri Lankan migrant workers in Lebanon, many working long hours as domestic helpers under strict conditions, used their only day off to prepare and distribute food to families displaced into tents and the streets. Despite earning modest wages and living within employer households, they saved small amounts from their salaries, brought rice, cheese, onions, and water, and cooked meals together before distributing them across Beirut.
“This could be us,” one worker says, explaining why they chose to help despite their own hardships. Coming from one of the main source countries for migrant domestic labor in Lebanon, they stepped in at a time of need, showing solidarity with Lebanese families forced from their homes by Israeli occupation attacks.
