THE ROLE OF PSYCHOLOGY IN TRADING Crypto trading is not only about knowing how to use indicators and tools. It has a strong connection with your thinking, because your mindset plays an important role when doing analysis. That’s why, if you fail to understand how your trading psychology works, it can cause you serious problems even if your strategy is good. HOW CAN YOU UNDERSTAND TRADING PSYCHOLOGY? Trading psychology simply means the way you control your mind and emotions when making trading decisions whether to enter or exit a trade. These emotions include fear, greed, impatience, and overconfidence. They are the common emotional challenges most traders face in the market. Below are some of the common problems our emotions cause us in trading 👇🏽 1️⃣ Fear:- Fear comes when a trader is scared to enter a trade because of previous losses. That fear makes traders delay entering a trade even when they already have good confirmation. It can also make you exit too early because you are afraid of losing the small profit you have made, which might make you miss a bigger opportunity. 2️⃣ Greed:- Greed can push traders to overtrade just because they want to make more profit. It can also cause FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) when you rush into a trade because you don’t want to miss a move you think will bring profit. But that’s a big risk, because you can easily lose all your profit and even your capital. This mostly affects people who want to make money fast, they trade too much and ignore proper risk management. 3️⃣ Impatience:- Sometimes when analyzing a coin/token, you may want to get confirmation quickly. That impatience can make you rush to take decisions entering a trade without good confirmation signals, and later ending up in loss. Lack of patience to wait for a good confirmation can make you ignore important factors before entering a trade. 4️⃣ Overconfidence:- Overconfidence happens when a trader wins many trades in a row.
