He will join current Co-Chair Morgan Grams, MD, and succeed Michel Jadoul, MD, who will conclude his term at the end of 2025. A long-time KDIGO volunteer, he has served on the Executive Committee, co-chaired the Lipids in CKD Guideline, was a Work Group member on the 2020 and 2022 KDIGO Diabetes Guidelines, and has participated in numerous KDIGO conferences and programs. “KDIGO is a respected global leader in developing trusted, evidence-based guidance that shapes kidney care around the world,” said Dr. Wanner. “I’m honored to serve as KDIGO Co-Chair and to support its mission to improve outcomes for people with kidney disease through international collaboration, clinical excellence, and meaningful implementation.” “I am absolutely delighted that Christoph Wanner will be joining me as KDIGO Co-Chair,” said Dr. Grams. “Christoph brings unmatched insight, clinical expertise, and intellectual rigor to everything he does.
