I would like to address all Trinamool Congress workers, supporters, and brothers and sisters across West Bengal.
There have been numerous allegations from different parts of the state that Trinamool Congress workers are being implicated in false and politically motivated cases. It is being alleged that, acting under political pressure and provocation from BJP leaders and legislators, sections of the police administration are registering baseless cases against party workers and carrying out arrests. In several instances, individuals have reportedly been paraded in handcuffs, and in some places even with ropes tied around their waists—actions that raise serious concerns about police excesses and the abuse of state power.
Many of those arrested are securing bail within a short period of time, which, in the view of their supporters, reflects the weak and unsustainable nature of these cases. However, for those who have been denied bail and continue to remain in judicial custody for extended periods, I request their colleagues, family members, or well-wishers to contact me with copies of the FIR and the certified copies of the relevant court orders.
To the best of my ability and within the bounds of the law, I will make every effort to assist and represent them in pursuing legal remedies before the High Court. The fight for justice, due process, and the rule of law must always be carried forward through lawful and democratic means.
