@FrankWa97380917 Interestingly enough we see that Titus was to appoint female elders. The role of pastor wasn't really developed in the days of the early church. But in as much as it was, we see women in those roles. So, no, I don't think it is "clear."

@MBurtwrites @ItsGoneAwry It sometimes seems as if the Christian life is a 24/7 self-help course, and that's true for men, too. I'd like to see a treatment of how these things affect (and become a heavy yoke for) good men, not bullies who use these books to justify mistreating their wives, but good men.

@MBurtwrites The quantity of narrative in Scripture is no argument against the value of propositional truth found in the same. The propositional truth often makes sense of the narrative. Who would understand the significance of Jesus’s death on the cross without propositional truth?

@MBurtwrites It’s pretty clear in the Bible that women are not to teach or have authority over men. The real problem right now is feminism (the real “man-made rules”) influencing the church to an ever-increasing degree.
