@questmoosa My wee tip about eating organic- it can be expensive (prohibitively so) to eat wholly organic. So pick the things you eat most of. For example tea and milk , if you have several cups of tea a day, organic is only a few pence more. Or go organic on the veg but not the meat maybe

Because the reality is this: the work gets decided, the contracts get handed out, and the prices get agreed — then you get the bill. You’ll hear "consultation" and "competitive quotes", but you’re not choosing the contractor and you’re not negotiating the price. You’re just paying it. Then it's surprise, surprise, the usual contractor. Insurance’s no different. It’s arranged for you, charged to you, but without the kind of transparency you’d expect if it was your own policy. There is plenty of oil left in the North Sea with more to be discovered. Why not step UK production up to 1 m b/ day? Average cost £20 a barrel. Current price £70 a barrel. Most of that profit of £18 bn a year would be paid to Treasury as tax. Get on with it.
