Any UN representative who denies Hamas rape must be removed from their post. Period. It is a stain on the UN’s reputation that Reem Alsalem, the Special Rapporteur on Violence against Women and Girls, denies the sexual violence that took place on October 7. This is a moral disgrace, an insult to the victims and their families, and a violation of every basic international standard. Israel will not allow Hamas' horrific crimes to be whitewashed. @antonioguterres, your silence is complicity.

@sleeepysandy No Palestinian applauded rape in Gaza. No independent investigation found that rape took place on the 7th of October.

Kalonzo Musyoka found himself in catch 22. He left Kenya principally to avoid sulking at home as President Ruto presides Mashujaa in his backyard, a function he was avoiding (typical Kalonzo). Then Baba passed on. And then the 72hour deadline. Kalonzo would have ordinarily cancelled the Europe event to return home, but he can’t do so because that will mean he sulks at home which is the reason for his running away in the first place.

I’ve never shared this before. A day or two after October 7th, early in the morning, the country was in shock. Even before the funeral of Mapal Adam z”l, who was murdered at the Nova festival, I went to the home of her sister, Maayan. Her mother, her brother Yarden, Maayan, and Maayan’s partner Yuval were there. We sat in the small yard and talked. Then Roee, Mapal’s boyfriend, arrived and sat down to tell the family for the first time what had actually happened and how Mapal had died. I stood up to leave such an intimate moment, but the family said to me, “Stay.” And then, for about an hour, Roee described in a trembling voice, detail by detail, How he and Mapal hid under a car, and Hili Solomon, Mapal’s best friend, under another car nearby, all surrounded by dozens, perhaps hundreds, of terrorists. How they stayed silent, pretending to be dead. How the vile terrorists came and shot them “confirmation shots” at point-blank range. How the blood flowed from their bodies, and Mapal’s life drained out of her there, as they lay pressed together. How the monsters came back a second time and shot again, as gasoline from the car leaked and mixed with the blood. How Roee smeared himself, and I think also Mapal, with blood so they would appear dead. How for endless hours no one came. I felt as though I was hearing the testimony of a Holocaust survivor, minutes after being liberated from Auschwitz. Because that’s what it was. A small Holocaust. No state. No army. Jews hiding for hours from murderous beasts. We all felt that Roee carried crushing guilt for not being able to save the love of his life, Mapal, nor her friend Hili. Of course, Roee could not have done anything more than he did. He bore no blame whatsoever. Mapal’s family told him that clearly and embraced him with immense love and compassion. Since then, as I understand, Roee devoted himself to helping others however he could. But in the early hours of this morning, two years later, Roee’s strength finally gave out, and this man, with his wounded soul, took his own life. Another soul murdered on that cursed day. ** In the coming days, hopefully already tomorrow, we will celebrate the return of the hostages. But we must not forget the murdered, the fallen soldiers and their families, nor the survivors who struggle every day with the horrors in their minds. Nor the thousands wounded in body and spirit. They live among us, and it is our duty to care for them. This is a matter of national priority. It is urgent! The day after we form the government, an authority will be established to care for the victims and their families. a moral, national, governmental obligation. May the soul of Roee be bound in the bond of life, alongside the love of his life, Mapal.

Those celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk must be thrown out of civil society. If you are aware of anyone in the 6th District of Florida — or heck, anywhere in the state — who works at any level of government, works for an entity that gets money from government (health care, university), or holds a professional license (lawyer, medical professional, teacher) that is publicly celebrating the violence, please contact my office. I will demand their firing, defunding, and license revocation. If you don’t think I am serious, I got two State University Board Chairman fired for less. These monsters want a fight? Congratulations; they got one.

The State of Qatar strongly condemns the cowardly Israeli attack that targeted residential buildings housing several members of the Political Bureau of Hamas in the Qatari capital, Doha. This criminal assault constitutes a blatant violation of all international laws and norms, and poses a serious threat to the security and safety of Qataris and residents in Qatar. The Ministry affirms that the security forces, civil defense, and relevant authorities immediately began addressing the incident and taking necessary measures to contain its repercussions and ensure the safety of the residents and surrounding areas. While the State of Qatar strongly condemns this assault, it confirms that it will not tolerate this reckless Israeli behavior and the ongoing disruption of regional security, nor any act that targets its security and sovereignty. Investigations are underway at the highest level, and further details will be announced as soon as they are available.

This is one of the things I recently agreed with Hon @RailaOdinga. We don't need 47 counties as a nation. Garissa, Wajir & Mandera have collectively received Ksh 0.5 trillion. This hasn't financed even 30 km of tarmac in NEP or solved education & water crisis. #KatibaDay2025

An initial inquiry regarding the strike on the observation camera at the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, which occurred yesterday (Monday), August 25th, 2025, was presented to the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, by the Commander of the Southern Command, MG Yaniv Asor, today (Tuesday). From an initial inquiry, it appears that Golani Brigade troops, operating in the area of Khan Yunis to dismantle terrorist infrastructure, identified a camera that was positioned by Hamas in the area of the Nasser Hospital that was being used to observe the activity of IDF troops, in order to direct terrorist activities against them. This conclusion was further supported, among other reasons, by the documented military use of hospitals by the terrorist organizations throughout the war, and by intelligence confirming Hamas’ use of the Nasser Hospital to carry out terrorist activities since the start of the war. In light of this, the troops operated to remove the threat by striking and dismantling the camera and the inquiry showed that the troops operated to remove the threat. The Chief of the General Staff received the initial conclusions that were presented and instructed that the inquiry be completed. At the outset, the Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the enemy conducts extensive and covert visual-intelligence gathering while cynically exploiting sensitive sites and civilian infrastructure, such as the Nasser Hospital, from which it carries out terrorist activities against IDF troops. The Chief of the General Staff added that six of the individuals killed were terrorists, one of whom took part in the infiltration into Israeli territory on October 7th. At the same time, the Chief of the General Staff regrets any harm caused to civilians. The Chief of the General Staff instructed to further examine several gaps: Firstly, a further examination of the authorization process prior to the strike, including the ammunition approved for the strike and the timing of the authorization. Secondly, an examination of the decision making process in the field. The Chief of the General Staff emphasized that the IDF directs its activities solely toward military targets.

Yemen is 1000 miles away from Israel. The two countries have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Nonetheless, every couple of days, Yemen shoots a ballistic missile in Israel’s direction and Israelis are forced into shelters until the threat abates. Just insane.

We strongly condemn President Macron’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state next to Tel Aviv in the wake of the October 7 massacre. Such a move rewards terror and risks creating another Iranian proxy, just as Gaza became. A Palestinian state in these conditions would be a launch pad to annihilate Israel — not to live in peace beside it. Let’s be clear: the Palestinians do not seek a state alongside Israel; they seek a state instead of Israel.
