@stayunwell That could be very true. But DOD stuff really did break through to political followers. To be clear, clearly deleting Uber back in 2017 didn’t stick!

Today’s “boycott ChatGPT” vibe feels a lot like #DeleteUber in 2017. Real anger, specifically at a founder, and loud exits to competition. The big difference? This isn’t a two-car race. Gemini and Claude were already gaining share, and moments like this just accelerate switching.

Apparently @demishassabis is personally leading the revival of Google glasses. Meta Reality Labs is going to have blown a $100B hole in Zuck’s pocket for nothing.

@DavidAlade__ This is not a particularly unusual promotion trajectory. There are even people who make partner 6 years out of undergrad at McKinsey.

Quite an insane level of work; the only explanation for why someone would get promoted every year at BCG - in NYC. So consistent that even the partner-level promotion couldn’t stop him. And now, he has moved on to OpenAI. 🫡

Just had a first meeting zoom with a founder where we quickly realized we live half a block away from each other and hopped off the zoom to go on a walk - hard to beat living in SF!

@MatthewBerman I don’t think Cerebras has much of a future, and their failed IPO attempt seemed to indicate just as much

I feel like with the love TPUs are getting right now, people need to wake up to Groq and Cerebras.

@samhogan hilarious how every positive response to that tweet is exclusively from VCs, on a thread accusing them of attempted kingmaking

This is so funny. The internet refuses to let VCs win, even for a single minute: - VC funds glorified consulting biz with $90M. founders are from OpenAI, must be a winner - gets called out for trying to King Make - founder qts with vague annualized revenue numbers - VCs from last round pile into comments saying “based response” and “absolutely savage” trying to sway public opinion - no one’s buying it. This pretty much sums up the entire venture ecosystem right now. Pure comedy.
