There’s something about New York that makes average feel impossible. You look around and realize people are actually out there building empires, running hedge funds, creating companies, making millions. Not in theory, but right now. It reminds me that the gap between where I am and where I want to be is bridged by execution, not luck. I feel this urge to raise my own standards and become the kind of man who belongs in an environment like that.

@ProcessTrader_ Man, I love that. Thanks for sharing. What industry are you in, and how junior or senior is your role? And the most important question: how long have you been doing this... splitting your attention between work and trading?

Private Banker to Independent Trader. I still trade alongside a full-time job. My goal isn’t to get rich quick. My goal is consistency. This account documents the real journey: • Wins • Losses • Mistakes • Lessons No signals. No fake lifestyle. Just real process. Process. Discipline. Execution.

Indeed, it's a hot take. I'd say markets are either expanding or consolidating, and those environments require different approaches, but not inherently different strategies. Sometimes you have to take profits earlier, sometimes you have to zoom out, or do the opposite and drop to a lower timeframe. You have to adjust.

@MEXIT_trades People will shoot me down for this, but in my opinion, if you trade off a “Model” you will never make it in trading long term. It can work, and for a long time, but markets change, learn to trade all conditions or suffer the consequences long term. Just my own opinion 🤝🙂

Why am I looking into the London session, too? Because if my model only presents itself around three times a week during NY AM, I'll most likely end up forcing another two trades on the remaining two days. I don't think low frequency models are ideal for traders who are still relatively early in their careers. More valid opportunities mean less pressure to manufacture trades when the setup simply isn't there.

@dancooketrades @peptide_abuser @Tradesyncer My experience has been that NQ is the one dragging ES along with it. Sometimes a setup appears on ES, but if NQ hasn't formed a CSD yet, it fails. That's just more of an intuitive observation, though, I can't back it up with data.

@MEXIT_trades @peptide_abuser @Tradesyncer Can be a number of different reasons. MES tends to run smoother with less volatility than MNQ. MNQ can provide those fast moves that people are looking for to get in and out of trades quickly. Most of the time, the choice is just down to personal preference.

Know when to walk away. Trade wasn’t going anywhere. It’s a Friday and was 11am, so closed it at break even. Fresh mind going into the weekend beats a forced trade every time.

All I’m waiting for is myself to demonstrate a level of performance that justifies allocating more capital to my trading endeavors. I don’t need money to scale. I need to prove to myself that I can perform consistently enough to justify taking on more risk and scaling. It’s very sobering when there’s nobody and no circumstances to point fingers at or blame. God did His part. Now it’s on me. Lake Maggiore, beautiful, right?

Every morning. That burning desire in my chest. That cortisol spike. The momentum I wake up with. Total tunnel vision, in the best sense of the word. So blessed and thankful to God for this drive and ambition.

It was a win. This was the clean model I was looking for. 09:30 open manipulated higher, swept liquidity, formed SMT with ES, and then gave the 1m IFVG. I hesitated for about a minute because I was hoping for a pullback to get a better entry, but the market was heavy today. Price was not offering much. Once the first presented FVG was created, I entered short immediately. Stop was placed above the first presented FVG. Target was previous month’s low, which was the outlined DOL from pre-market. The important part for me today was that I kept it simple. This was the exact scenario I wanted at the open.

I’ve taken $88K in prop payouts this year so far, here’s how I did it: 1. Have a 65%+ win-rate 2. End my trading sessions FAST Green trade? Lock out. Break-even trade ? Lock out. Red trade? Lock out. I focus on stacking trading DAYS, not trades. That’s how you stay funded long enough to get paid.

Interesting stats - 108 trades - 58% winrate - 1:1 RR - +$7288 - worst Drawdown $1500 I decided to test my model which I now call MIDAS on FXReplay. I want to find out how my model performs during different market types phases. Are those good stats?

Instead of tracking P&L, I track the number of wins and losses on each account. It works for me because I use fixed size and RR, so each win and each loss stays the same. And based on my old data, I will know what's the probability of each acc getting to payout. Helps me stay cool.
