We know that carrying a knife puts you at risk of a serious or fatal injury. We are committed to creating violence-free communities in Merseyside, ensuring better life choices for young people and their families. Work to tackle & prevent knife crime goes on all year round but the national police #sceptre campaign is a chance for us all to raise that vital awareness & safely surrender any items that could cause harm if they end up in the wrong hands.

👩‍🚒 More Fire Champions! 👨‍🚒 Congratulations to Windsor Primary in Toxteth & Holy Spirit, Netherton! 👏 These workshops are designed to challenge preconceptions, spark meaningful conversations and secure trust, by building relationships and breaking down any barriers young people may have with blue light services. The aim is to keep children safe away from risk in their community, encouraging them to identify and understand when they feel they are not safe so they can stay in control of the situation, strengthening their protection factors, building self-esteem, self–confidence and self-control.

🌟Thrilled to have received @MerseysidePCC's award at the fantastic @merseypolice Community First Awards last night. Delighted to get this recognition for the work of our team, our partners and a whole host of community organisations, all united in their determination to prevent serious violence. It was an honour to share the stage with so many other amazing nominees and winners, who were being recognised for their work serving communities across Merseyside.💙

100s of young people across Merseyside have completed this vital training empowering them to help prevent abusive situations. We're really proud to hear how it's resonating - helping them recognise & challenge attitudes & language, particularly racist, misogynist, & homophobic behaviour, by adopting a mentoring approach to discuss issues with younger pupils. 🙌 #AntiBullyingWeek #ChooseRespect
