Quick flight, great airport, lots of reasonable hotels/restaurants, great tailgates, good venue sitelines and easy to find pavilion seats. Alpine, like SPAC, is a logistical nightmare. @john_aday @SLessard @davematthewsbnd Generally two nighters have the best odds. We got a shot at Fiddlers but I wouldn't say it's likely. I charted all the plays since '18. Best odds to hear it in next calendar year: MSG fall 2026, Alpine 2027 (if they play), West Palm 2027, Gorge 2026 or 2027, Chicago fall 2026.

@john_aday @SLessard @davematthewsbnd Anywhere can get it, anytime. Definitely a chase song for many. My take is Dave generally includes it in a set as a thank you to fans when a crowd is particularly good or there is a weird situation. Alpine 2024 was the make up show, Creek 2023 was the storm shortened show, etc.

@cammillerfilms I get Netflix was a weird choice, but more USA households have Netflix subscriptions than access to ESPN. Short of all sports going back to over air TV (not happening) Netflix is about as accessible a platform as is available on American TVs.

And those that have a subscription to a streaming service got to watch it live as it happened. Those that do not...didn't.

@concertvids34 Don’t hear me criticizing too loud as I get costs have escalated and the band is older. I still love the shows and love going. I do think as costs have sharply escalated we have seen a lot of value erosion from pre COVID and pre two sets. Or maybe DMB was too good a deal before.

@concertvids34 In 2002 that quicker show also included a 45 minute opening act. DMB removed most openers in favor of a longer headlining shows in 2014 but has eased back to shorter shows and didn’t bring back regular openers. That $46 pit ticket in 2002 should cost $86 today too 😂.

Camden saw the first #dmb performacne of I Did It at the venue since 2002. That Camden N1 show only had 16 songs and 1 Hour and 44 mins of song time. Both shows this weekend should easily be tracked as having more song time just to put things in perspective.

Some updates from Terry Francona. He trusts Steer a lot, and he’s a “ball player.” He expects Steer to make the plays he’s supposed to make out in center field. It also isn’t going to be a long term thing — Myers is heading out to Arizona to work during the break and could meet the team in Denver. It sounds like McLain strained his calf shagging fly balls in Milwaukee. He tried to play through it, which was appreciated. It’s a grade 1 strain.

Is there a more annoying social media trend than AI generated TSwift and World Cup player photos? No one cares about your business pretending to have a celebrity visit which we all know is fake.

If the referees can review seemingly every play in the World Cup they should be able to review when players flop down faking injury too. And if they were not actually hit they should have to sit out 30 mins. So much flopping and acting ruins the game flow.

The reds are 19-22 at home. This won't be the deciding factor in the season. And @NoahKahan concert is a heckuva lot more exciting than the home teams play.

@LanceMcAlister I'd rather see the reds pitch him on Sunday with a limited pitch count than start the ASG. I don't want to waste a single pitch of his limited count this season on anything other than reds games

There's zero reason a plane arriving on time should have to wait 20 mins for an open gate at 11:40 PM. Certainly @CVGairport, @united, @Delta can combine forces to get a crowd of tired travelers off at a non United gate if they have diverted flights. We passed at least 5 empty.

@EmilyStewartM @forcemm Same issue with @Airbnb. Not World Cup specific but I've had two houses in past yr booked well in advance get cancelled close to sporting event weekends. Airbnb offered a small credit and shrug in response. Meanwhile prices went up and inventory down from original booking time.

Man, @FIFAWorldCup has terrible organization. The worst I've ever seen. Parking lots not labeled, parking pass we bought wouldn't be taken. Stadium gates have no labels until you're there. If @ruoffmusicenter ran the World Cup this would be so much better organized.

After seeing Knicks "fans" destroying property and assaulting people wearing Spurs jerseys in NYC I wouldn't want them anywhere near my arena either. A vocal minority of the fan base needs to grow up.
