During the EiM Collaboration Group ‘The GTT: From Principles to Practice’ we facilitated our professional discussions using one-pagers focused on the different Dimensions of the Model for Great Teaching. Staff engaged in breakout rooms to tackle key questions on Dimension 1 – Understanding the Content: 1️⃣ What are the key features of this dimension? 2️⃣ What concrete, practical strategies can you use in your schools and classrooms? 3️⃣ How can you action these in your schools and classrooms? 4️⃣ What are your next steps before our next meeting? Staff were asked to appoint a scribe and then another member of the group was nominated to feedback to the wider cohort. It was a great way to create a collaborative, shared understanding of the elements in D1 and most importantly how to apply them practically in different contexts across the group. This week, our EiM Collaboration Group came together for insightful discussions on ‘The GTT: From Principles to Practice’, focusing on Dimension 2: Creating a Supportive Environment.
