Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre says Mark Carney will be the only leader of a nation attending the G7 Summit in France, that is in recession. Poilievre says there will be lots of grand signing ceremonies, and dazzling speeches signifying nothing.

Facts:
Crime rates have gone down in BC over the past 5 years. And, the government has worked hard to secure needed bail reforms with the federal government to combat repeat violent offenders.
No one is going to lose their house to indigenous people, contrary to the rhetoric. DRIPA has nothing to do with private property cases including Cowichan. Those decisions are based on section 35 of the Constitution Act and Supreme Court of Canada cases. A KC lawyer must know this.
Increased longterm debt is required to finance the building of essential infrastructure including hospitals, schools, roads, energy infrastructure and housing. For 16 years, the previous government failed to invest in the needed infrastructure, leaving this government with a huge infrastructure deficit to resolve.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay, fear mongering, misinformation and negative rhetoric will not make BC a better place for its citizens.
Driving the economy with key investments, improving the services that people need and making life more affordable are what is important.
It’s easy to be a critic, it’s much harder to roll up your sleeves and do the hard work.

The truth is that there are no “first nations”. This is a term foisted upon myriads of little ethnic clans which never were, and never will, be nations at all.
UNDRIP is a lunacy - largely drafted by Canadian activitists - and considers inappropriate for codification even by Jody Wilson Rayboud!
Canada and BC are the only two jurisdictions on Earth to codify this idiocy and everyone else is watching the debacle unfold.
The hypocrisy of opposing, for example, Albertan separatism, whilst supporting indigenous separatism is a stark.
The indians have become little more than an all singing, all dancing front for a combination for greedy “chiefs”, oligarchical grifters and ideological zealots.

Minister Champagne is playing games with his claim that he disclosed his conflict of interest to the Ethics Commissioner about his wife working for Alto.
He did something very sneaky.
He disclosed she was offered a job, and was cleared from any conflict related to that.
But did not then further disclose when he was ramming the Alto funding through Parliament and voting to stop the Alto funding to be set aside from the main budget vote to be voted on separately that his wife was the VP of Environment for Alto and he paid $12,000 to an executive to go over the French of his budget speech.
There is a BIG difference between his wife being offered a job and having a VP job when bonus cheques are flying around for the successful funding of a $90 Billion boondoggle project.
Pathetic.
