3/ The "Deep Internal" Path: Look at your unique experiences that took you to the edge of what's possible. Example: Salient's founder worked at Tesla Finance Ops and saw how manual loan processing was. Now they're building AI agents for auto debt collection - serving major banks.

2/ There are two main paths to finding great AI startup ideas: - Deep internal exploration (what are you uniquely great at?) - Getting radically external (what industries desperately need AI?)

You're buying your end of the world car. A vehicle that, sh*t goes down, you can use to escape. Has to be under $100k, mostly stock, and can last 20 years. What you getting?

@thesamparr Why would you be a douche? Just have a sense of humor about it and don't take yourself too seriously. The biggest douche are bay area people who tell me they think sports cars are too flashy then proceed to tell me about their Ferrari Scuderia they proudly never drive.

One of these days I'm going to be a douche and get myself a Bentley Continental GT. Beautiful cars. Bentley has stepped it up in my opinion. Anyone have one? They look wonderful.

Biggest market in fintech is the most overlooked and underserved. Seniors are now biggest spenders in the US. And resilient thru recessions. I’ve backed several companies building fintech for seniors and would love to do more.

@yilunzh "Makes Sense" and the word "Stock" never go hand in hand. I would lose money insider trading 10/10 times.

Stock sometimes make no sense to me. $TSLA missed delivery consensus by 20k, stock in the green. $RIVN post record delivery and ups full year production guidance, stock down -2.5% 🤷‍♂️

@iamjakestream The great VC standoff of '23. The companies that would be investable don't need money. And investors who want to put in money don't want to pay forward multiples. The deals to be done are in rounds not to want.
