I haven’t been avoiding @Delta, it’s just that the nonstop options where I live (DC) and need to go are on another airline. I’m posting this while watching Yellowstone on the IFE. I’ve missed @Delta.

And splashdown! America is back in the business of sending astronauts to the Moon and bringing them home safely. Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy did an outstanding job. These talented astronauts inspired the world and represented their space agencies and nations as humanity’s ambassadors to the stars. This was a test mission, the first crewed flight of SLS and Orion, pushing farther into the unforgiving environment of space than ever before, and it carried real risk. They accepted that risk for all we stood to learn and for the exciting missions that follow, as we return to the lunar surface, build a Moon base, and prepare for what comes next. And they were not alone. The entire NASA workforce, our commercial and international partners, and the hopes and dreams of people all over the world were with them. The astronauts know it, and you should too. This mission would not have been possible without you. Congratulations. Artemis II, mission accomplished.

I wish everyone, those who know Christ, and those who don’t, could see and hear the witness of Ben Sasse. A moving tribute to the saving power of God.

Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth. On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world. Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.

We know the last few days have been difficult. The normal, quick and efficient checkpoint operations we're known for have returned today. Travelers are once again advised to arrive 2 hours ahead of scheduled departure.

If you are traveling today or tomorrow, please arrive to the airport 4 hours early. We have not previously experienced checkpoint wait times similar to what we are seeing this morning. Travelers most impacted are those departing from Concourses A, B and C.

🚨 BREAKING: Potomac TRACON, the key radar facility handling D.C. airspace, has been evacuated to “ATC ZERO” according to FAA alerts. The FAA is now implementing ground stops for flights to Reagan National, Dulles, BWI, Charlottesville and Richmond airports.

Born too late to pilot a B-17 against a ball-bearing factory. Born too early to pilot a starship on a voyage of discovery. Born just in time to pilot a Guppy full of Spring Break kids to Fort Lauderdale. Which I’m grateful for, but the other options are cooler.

I’ve been in South Beach one hour and I had forgotten it’s just such a different world from DC. It’s like two different planets - not in a bad way (just now wishing DC took a few tips from this Florida life) - I forgot the entire US doesn’t live the Beltway life

Insane security lines this morning at Baltimore, Washington international Airport

A massive security line this morning at @BWI_Airport as there is only one @TSA checkpoint open. Hundreds of people will be missing flights.

Seems like a bad idea to me: The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued an airport Security Directive that exempts all U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents from needing a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge to enter the sterile (concourse) area of the airport without a SIDA badge or escort, effective immediately.
