So @realdonaldtrump closed the month out at 61 interviews... that beats the previous record of 35 interviews in Oct. '18 by 74.85%. What we're watching with concern is the increase in "phoners" -- brief 1:1 interviews, often five minutes or less, that are ad hoc and without public recordings or transcripts. In his first term, only 10.86% of these interviews were without a full transcript or recording released. For the second term, we're at 58.16% of the 239 we've tracked. For just 2026 to date, it's 79.81% and for March alone, it was 91.8%... just 5 have either a recording or transcripts (two local interviews, Jake Paul, The Five and a Brian Kilmeade radio interview).
