INTERNATIONAL RULING AGAINST SOUTH AFRICA IN THE BOEREMAG CASE The International Commission of Jurists for Human Rights in Geneva has found that South Africa, as well as the trial court, violated several basic trial rights of the accused in the Boeremag case. According to the ruling, the state did not comply with international standards for a fair trial, and the Republic of South Africa is now obliged to provide redress and compensation to the applicants within 180 days.
