The Man Van: A pilot study of using mobile targeted case-finding to address health inequalities in prostate cancer out on International Journal of Cancer by @Prof_Nick_James and team onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/ij… The Man Van 🚍project was developed to improve early detection of #ProstateCancer and other health conditions among high-risk men from deprived communities and ethnic minorities, who face barriers to healthcare access🚧 From December 2021 to December 2022, the project was piloted in 8⃣ locations with a focus on areas with high deprivation and minority populations. Of the 610 men who attended, 48% were non-White, with 30% being Black. Prostate cancer was diagnosed in 3.6% of attendees, with Black men having a higher diagnosis rate than White men The project demonstrated the effectiveness of the mobile health model in reducing healthcare inequalities, diagnosing prostate cancer at earlier stages, and identifying other health conditions. @MMoghul @JanetteKinsella @CahillDeclan @ICR_London @RMPartnersNHS @royalmarsdenNHS
