Nowhere near perfect, but I try to be a good person. Usually I succeed, but sometimes I fail. Do the RIGHT thing!! Opinions are my own, and subject to flaws...

@MidwestGolfJake It's too close. You should never hit to within 20-30 yards of someone. Also, wait til carts drive away from greens!

Every time that I have to wait on a guy who hit a 220 drive, but still waits for the green to clear from 250, I loathe humanity a little more. Update: he laid up, which he could have done 5 minutes earlier. Humanity had a good run.

La paradoja del Socialismo. — El Socialismo necesita que existan los pobres. — Prometen ayudarlos. — Pero si realmente los ayudan, dejarían de ser pobres. — Y sin pobres, no se necesita Socialismo.

Prediction: after airlines doubling down on premium cabin passengers, and rushing to add more premium cabin seating? I predict premium cabin demand to drop dramatically with the rise in prices.

Best offensive and defensive team in the regular season for a reason, the way round one played out should horrify the Minnesota Wild. Colorado is known for offense but proved adapting to and dominating a defensive style game is no problem. The Avalanche are comfortable wherever.

Seattle has had deeply unserious mayors before, but there is no precedent for Mayor Katie Wilson. She came in as an East Coast nepo baby with no applicable life experience. This is a five-alarm fire. How does the city survive three years of this?

Hunga Tonga is still affecting the atmosphere. On January 15, 2022, the underwater volcano erupted in the South Pacific. It blasted roughly 160 million metric tons of water vapor into the stratosphere, increasing levels by an unprecedented 10%. Most major eruptions cool the planet by injecting reflective aerosols. Hunga Tonga erupted underwater and punched seawater high into the atmosphere. Water vapor is the most dominant greenhouse gas. NASA warned the eruption could have a temporary warming effect. Global temperatures then spiked in 2023 and 2024. Predictably though, the spike was sold as proof of accelerating CO2-driven warming. Activist-scientists downplayed any influence from the record Hunga Tonga eruption. But now comes the next test: The excess water vapor is now declining, slowly, and with it, global temperatures are also falling. The "accelerating crisis" looks a lot like a temporary atmospheric pulse - now fading on schedule. Here again, we have a natural driver dominating Earth's climate.

Two Socialist Mayors. Spoiled brats from affluent households. Both have at least one parent who's a college professor. (That figures). Both are overseeing cities in financial decline. Both hate millionaires. Neither has any idea how to manage a city.

@_HockeyTonk Fuck Jamie Benn. His answer in his last playoff series was to try and intentionally injure players that have more talent, and were deemed a roadblock to the Stars advancing. He lost all respect and credibility when he decided to goin it and play dirty. He should be ashamed.

As a lifelong Stars fan who is 29 years old. I am really emotional about potentially watching Benn’s last game as a Star. Many younger fans think of him as a goon or heel. I watched him usher this franchise into what it is today. He was the transition from Brenden Morrow to the juggernaut it has become. He won an Art Ross. For a few seasons, he was up there with prime Crosby and Ovechkin. He won Gold in 2014 with team Canada. I understand he is a polarizing player, and deserving of criticism lately, but please understand that he is a franchise legend. I have watched him for 17 seasons. His jersey number should never be worn in Dallas ever again. If you retire and never wear Victory Green again. Thank you, Jamie. #TexasHockey

Left behind in Kabul. Alone. He waited 47 days. K-9 Chaos was not a dog who did his job. He was a dog who had DECIDED, completely, permanently, without reservation, that Lieutenant Marcus Webb was coming back for him. No matter how long it took. At Hamid Karzai International Airport, Kabul, on the morning of August 30th, 2021, a three-year-old Belgian Malinois sat in an empty aircraft hangar. The last American plane had left six hours ago. The evacuation was over. Chaos had been left behind. Not intentionally. The chaos of the withdrawal. The panic. The rush. Webb had been separated from Chaos during the final evacuation. Put on a different plane. Told Chaos would be on the next flight. There was no next flight. Chaos survived the first day alone. Waiting at the hangar where Webb had left him. Chaos survived the first week. Scavenging food from abandoned military supplies. Chaos survived 47 days in Taliban-controlled Kabul. Alone. Hiding. Waiting. Because Chaos survived on the belief that Webb wouldn't leave him forever. Back in the United States, Webb was losing his mind. Filed reports. Called congressmen. Contacted rescue organizations. Went on the news. "I left my dog in Afghanistan," he said on CNN, his voice breaking. "I left my brother. And I'm going to get him back." The military said it was impossible. Kabul had fallen. Taliban controlled the airport. No way to extract a dog. Webb didn't care about impossible. He contacted Pineapple Express, a veteran-run extraction operation. Gave them Chaos's last known location. Sent photos. Videos. Anything that could help. For 47 days, Webb didn't sleep. Didn't eat properly. Just waited for news. On October 16th, 2021, his phone rang. "We found him," the voice said. "We found Chaos." A rescue team had infiltrated Kabul. Used Webb's intel. Found Chaos still at the hangar. Still waiting. Forty-seven days later. Chaos was emaciated. Dehydrated. Traumatized. But alive. The extraction took three days. Smuggling Chaos out of Taliban-controlled territory. Through checkpoints. Through danger. But they got him out. On October 19th, 2021, Chaos landed at Dulles International Airport. Webb was waiting on the tarmac. When they opened the crate, Chaos didn't move. Stared at Webb like he was seeing a ghost. "It's me, brother," Webb said, kneeling down. "I came back. I promised I'd come back." Chaos stepped out slowly. Walked to Webb. Collapsed into his arms. The reunion video went viral. Seventeen million views in three days. But what people didn't see was what happened after. For six months, Chaos wouldn't sleep unless Webb was in the room. Wouldn't eat unless Webb fed him. Wouldn't go outside unless Webb went first. "He's terrified I'll leave him again," Webb said in an interview. "And I don't blame him. I left him once. In the worst place. At the worst time. He waited 47 days for me. And I'll spend the rest of my life making sure he knows I'm never leaving again." Three years later, Chaos still sleeps with his head on Webb's chest. Still follows him everywhere. Still making sure Webb doesn't disappear. K-9 Chaos. Survived 47 days alone in Kabul. Extracted by heroes. Reunited with his handler. @MNJackFlash I hope so too! My hope peaked with the mass demonstrations a couple of months ago. The harsh reprisals were disheartening but still left lots of room for hope. For me our idiotic, poorly planned military actions have extinguished that hope

Can anyone explain to me how this is in anyway, better than what the Nazi’s did to the Jews? A lifetime of Fear, Slavery and Torture for ALL women that live under Sharia law and the Iranian regime. They do not choose this life, and yet, western society allows this to continue. 🤦🏼‍♂️
Liza Rosen@LizaRosen0000

t.co/LfdBBxFhjM A video from Iran shows exactly what Islam’s Sharia Law produces. A Muslim man ties one of his wives' hands behind her back. She is forced to sit on the sand and quietly weeps in the scorching sun as punishment for not pleasing her owner. After she keeps yelling, he places her in a shed and threatens to lock the cage over her failure to obey him perfectly. She is not his equal. She is his possession. This is not an exception. It is the rule under Islamic law for women and girls over the age of six. They have no autonomy over their own bodies. They cannot show their hair in public. They cannot sing or dance freely. They cannot choose their own husbands. Instead, they are often sold into marriage as young as nine years old to men old enough to be their fathers—sometimes men who already have one, two, or three other wives. Under Sharia, a man may marry up to four women at once. He may beat them. He may kill them in the name of “family honor” and face little consequence. Girls are raised knowing their worth is measured only by obedience and silence. Their tears, dreams, and humanity are crushed before they ever have a chance to exist. The Iranian regime that produces these videos is the same regime that funds Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad. The mullahs who treat women as livestock are the same men who send rockets at Israeli children and chant for the death of every Jew. The evil is not separate. It is one ideology of domination—over women, over Jews, over the entire free world. While Israel stands as the only place in the Middle East where women serve as fighter pilots, Supreme Court justices, and prime ministers, the Iranian regime turns half its population into slaves. Israel protects its daughters. Iran chains its daughters and calls it religion. The contrast is not cultural. It is moral. The radical left in the West stays silent or even defends this barbarism as “diversity.” They march against Israel while ignoring the women being beaten, sold, and murdered across the Islamic world. They have chosen the side of the oppressors. They have lost their souls.

@sarrazin1230 You always bring clarity and facts to conversation. And I do appreciate the feedback. I too, was very hopeful just recently that the Iranian people would be freed from their nightmare, and that regional stability might possibly be strengthened because of it.
