AFTERMATH PHOTOS SHOW VEHICLE STRUCK MULTIPLE TIMES IN DISTRICT HEIGHTS SHOOTING DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD — New photos obtained by KILLMOENEWS show the aftermath of Thursday night’s shooting in the 6600 block of Hill Mar Drive in District Heights. The images show a parked blue vehicle riddled with gunfire, with approximately 12 bullet holes visible throughout the windshield, roofline, interior, and driver-side area. Investigators previously responded to the scene after reports of gunfire and recovered multiple shell casings in the roadway. 🚓 Despite the heavy gunfire, no injuries were reported.

BREAKING NEWS UPDATE DOUBLE SHOOTING AND APPARENT SUICIDE IN SOUTHEAST D.C.; ONE DEAD, TWO INJURED IN DOMESTIC-RELATED INCIDENT WASHINGTON, D.C. — MPD is investigating a double shooting and apparent suicide in Southeast D.C. that left one man dead and two others injured. The incident unfolded on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at approximately 6:57 p.m., when Seventh District officers responded to the 2000 block of Mount View Place SE for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male and an adult female suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims were conscious and breathing and were transported by DC Fire and EMS to local hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. While canvassing the area, officers discovered a second scene in the 1300 block of Morris Road SE, where they located an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. DC Fire and EMS responded and, despite all lifesaving efforts, the male was pronounced dead on the scene. Preliminary investigation indicates the incident is domestic-related. Authorities say the suspect arrived at the location, shot both victims, and then shot himself. A firearm was recovered at the scene. The deceased suspect has been identified as 25-year-old Brandon Orland Blanco Viloria of Seattle, Washington. The investigation remains ongoing.

PERSON FOUND DEAD IN BURNING VEHICLE IN HILLCREST HEIGHTS; HOMICIDE DETECTIVES ON SCENE HILLCREST HEIGHTS, MD — Prince George’s County Police are on scene investigating a fatal incident after a person was found dead inside a burning vehicle. The incident occurred in the 1400 block of Southern Avenue, where officers and fire crews responded to reports of a vehicle on fire. Upon extinguishing the flames, authorities discovered a deceased individual inside the vehicle.

ALEXANDRIA DEPUTY FIRED, CHARGED IN ALLEGED JAIL DRUG SMUGGLING SCHEME ALEXANDRIA, VA — A deputy with the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office has been terminated and arrested after being accused of attempting to smuggle drugs into the Alexandria Adult Detention Center. Authorities identified the former deputy as Amarachukwu W. Igwe, who joined the agency in July 2025. According to officials, Igwe was taken into custody on April 4 before any drugs reached inmates. The sheriff’s office says its Internal Investigations Unit uncovered the alleged scheme early, preventing the drugs from entering the facility’s general population. Following the arrest, Sheriff Sean Casey confirmed Igwe was immediately terminated.
