Yesterday City Council passed an additional $2.8 million in rent assistance for our neighbors struggling to stay in their homes after ICE’s occupation.
Unfortunately, Frey's Council allies upheld his veto of a 60 day eviction notice to give families more time.

Yesterday, we pushed to advance bills to protect Minnesotans. Every Democrat voted in favor of moving these bills forward, and every Republican voted against them.
Now the public knows whether their representative stands with kids or with ICE and the gun lobby.

There are tons and tons of high-quality, top-level coaches in all sports and fields (Brad Stevens in basketball for an easy example) that get the best out of their players/workers an prepare them for life without being quasi-abusive.

Resolutions, when passed, signal values. Not everything passed by elected members is tangible change for residents - sometimes it's messaging or internal for the electeds.
God forbid our electeds show their values with the tool designed to establish formal opinions and intent.

The most obvious issue is that even if these resolutions passed with unanimous consent, absolutely nothing would happen. Nothing would change, no one’s lives, especially those of citizens of Minneapolis, would get better. They only signal that you wish you were somewhere else.

I think they’re acting incompetently, so obviously, in plain sight, on purpose.
They want us to become so broken, enraged and demoralized that we unwittingly feed them the exact thought-energy they require to carry out the agendas they wish to carry out.
And, they want us so broken, enraged and demoralized, that people begin acting erratically and violently, so they can have the excuse to use authoritarian measures to bring order.
Order through chaos. Problem, reaction, solution. Feel the justifiable anger flow through you, but don’t give in to it.
