*Shadowing the shadow fleet* RNGS have continued to provide support to wider NATO maritime security operations in the Mediterranean. Working closely with our allies to provide information on Russian Flagged “Shadow Fleet” vessels transiting through the straights of Gibraltar.

An update on UK operations in the Middle East.

As the situation in the Middle East remains volatile, we are deploying our Type-45 Destroyer, HMS Dragon, to the Eastern Mediterranean. We are also sending two Wildcat helicopters to Cyprus to bolster drone defence for our Cypriot partners. Working alongside our allies, our Armed Forces are committed to protecting regional stability and keeping people safe.

I can confirm there were no casualties and the damage is minimal. Our jets and equipment at RAF Akrotiri are ready to defend British people, our bases, and our allies in the region and I am proud of the professionalism of our Armed Forces' and their families.
