Lisa, murdered and missing for over 20 years and my mum at one of the many press conferences we’ve held over the years. Someone has to have a heart. Please tell us what happened to Lisa and let us find some type of peace. Whatever you’ve heard……tell me. #letsfindlisa

Samuel Bird, 14, is still missing. Edmonton Police have now classified his disappearance as “suspicious,” shifting search efforts to the North Saskatchewan River. Sharing this to help raise awareness and bring attention to Samuel’s case, in the hope that his family receives answers and that Samuel is found safe. Grateful to @CBCSamSamson for having me on to share insights on how police investigate missing children cases. Watch here and please share with your networks: cbc.ca/player/play/vi…

While Red Dress Day is over, the movement is not. The crisis of MMIWG2S+ did not begin yesterday - and it will not end without continued action. Keep the pressure on and continue the fight. For the lives we’ve lost. For the ones still with us. For the generations to come.

A drawback to leveraging social media for missing persons cases: "misinformation and rumors can impact the police investigation because investigators have to follow up on every lead. 'When a lot of it ends up being rumours, it’s taking away from valid calls that they’re getting and valid information … it just leaves a lot more for the police staff to wade through,' she said."
