“That’s a lot of words for saying that you hate black women.” That is the overwhelming response I’ve gotten in the 24 hours since I went public with my choice to vote for James Talarico. So I want to share these screenshots. The first was from the day Jasmine announced, and the second was from when I joined a block walk with the Talarico team in Katy and volunteers for my campaign were taken aback by what appeared to be an endorsement. I was all in for Jasmine. I was ready to use every ounce of organizational efforts I’ve built in this district to get her elected. But the joint effort in my district never materialized. From a text message sent on January 3rd to present day, I have yet to encounter a single Jasmine Crockett volunteer in my district. And that is just an organizational observation. Then there is the messaging. In the time between 1/3 and now, I have learned that Talarico will fight to end big money in politics, has expressly condemned the genocide in Gaza, will tax the rich, support healthcare for all, raise the federal minimum wage, fight for the separation of church and state, and hold resource sucking data centers accountable for the resources they rob from the lands where they build. What I have learned from the Crockett campaign is that there was a TikTok influencer who heard James Talarico say something that disqualifies him from ever serving in office ever again. 3 weeks. 3 weeks it has been that one campaign has been moving forward with solutions on how to solve America’s problems and one campaign has been focused on something that may or may not have been said in an off the record conversation. And the worst part… Disenfranchised Republicans are reading this shit. That’s what pisses me off the most. I cannot change the fact that I am a white woman. But I have tried so hard to be an ally. I have done CRT training, I ask questions and literally frame everything I come across through the lens of race so I can use my “privilege” to be the loudest voice possible. But seriously, FUCK. I can’t even have an opinion right now without being attacked. By the left, by the right… liberal white women are everyone’s favorite target at the moment. And like I said above, my education has informed my response on why people on the left are responding this way, so I tread EXTREMELY carefully, but disenfranchised white republican women see this shit and say nah, I’m out. January 19, 2026 Last night, Tina Peters was assaulted at approximately 9PM MT in La Vista Correctional Facility. Tina was inside a maintenance closet to fill up a water unit when an inmate approached her in the closet and began striking her in anger. Tina raised her hands and pushed the inmate away in defense of herself. Per Tina, the camera showed her pushing the inmate away from her out of the closet. She was subsequently handcuffed, shackled, and brought to solitary confinement. Tina was told she is being charged with Felony Assault for defending herself against an unprovoked attack. She will be locked down completely for 24-72 hours and held in IDO (the hole) for an unknown period of time. As far as Tina is aware, the inmate who assaulted her has not been charged, slept in their cell last night, and will face no consequences. This incident is clearly a targeted attack against Peters. In all likelihood, it is being used as an opportunity to isolate and harass Tina Peters. Tina has been warning officials that something like this would happen eventually. She was advised to apply for the Incentive Pod. Tina has applied repeatedly and been denied despite nothing disqualifying her. Something is not right at LVCF.
