How anyone could be surprised about ChatGPT not being able to meet their $600b commitment on $20b revenue while it fails at everything but Codex is hilarious. Are people investing not even testing or researching what they invest in? In the end it just looks to me like plenty of players have been investing in the last few rounds in the hope to unload at IPO or to a greater fool. Coming from someone that uses GPT for coding.

I just spent 2 incredible weeks in Italy and it is so frustrating to come back to the U.S… How is it possible @RobertKennedyJr that the Italian food supply is so vastly superior. I literally ate bread at every meal, dessert multiple times per day, and generally ate way more than I do in the U.S. Not once did I have acid reflux. Not one headache, no digestive problems, and I didn’t gain any weight. If I ate the same way in the U.S. (I used to at times) I would have gone through a full bottle of Tums and Advil just to get through the day… WHY does the U.S. allow glyphosate in wheat, high fructose corn syrup in food and who knows what in our milk products? The difference in quality of life in Italy vs the U.S. is staggering from their common sense (anti corporate) food regulation. WHY aren’t more people upset about this? The U.S. is the richest country in the world and we eat like one of the poorest.

On Monday, the S&P 500 $SPY closed at a record high. The next day, at least 1% more stocks hit a 52-week low than a 52-week high. In 70+ years of history, that's happened twice. Yesterday was one. January 3, 2000 was the other.

Here are my thoughts: PROS: -Sector and market at highs -Long consolidation -History of trading well -Breaking to ATH -Volume is solid CONS: -Relatively weak and lagging behind rest of sector (other names broke out weeks ago and way more powerfully) -Consolidation could have been tighter, don’t love that final dip it had w the market -No fresh news catalyst Overall, i think it’s a setup and name that’s worth being involved in. But that first con does bother me quite a bit. IMO, the best semi setups have already ripped and this feels kinda like later-stage lagging participation. So far though, today was positive price action vs semis so certainly could start to lead but I’m weary. Notably, I’m not at all bothered by the market cap. In this current world, megacap names have proven themselves to be incredible movers. Old paradigms don’t apply. Disclosure: No position, not trading or investment advice. Subject to change at any moment.

PROS / CONS OF NVDA DAILY BREAKOUT? The main debate on my call today w @smbcapital interns was whether this is a setup worth taking. What are your thoughts? Pros? Cons?

Buy and hold is not a meaningful strategy unless you have constant cash frow that you can deploy at different levels. Warren Buffett is the king of Buy & Hold though he had the luxury of writing off many investments that went south. If you don't have such luxury, you need a stop-loss, an uncle point.
