Gael Monfils just played his final match at Roland Garros. He has given his body, his mind, & his heart to this sport every day for 20 years. The way he glides around the court… The way he slam dunks his overheads… The way he has the biggest smile on his face to congratulate his opponent after losing a tight match. Nothing about this man is ordinary, he is by definition ‘extraordinary.’ And when he retires at the end of the year, tennis will never see anything like him again. He’s the performer who dances for free. He’s the painter who paints simply to admire the brightness of the colors. Beyond his sheer athletic brilliance and his highlight reels that will never be duplicated… his legacy is how he made tennis fans feel. The last dance at Roland Garros is complete… a legend at this tournament and every tournament. Thank you, La Monf. 🇫🇷❤️🇫🇷

A year ago I left this website, partly because of how racist it had got, but also because I was warned people in the Labour Party wanted to block me from re-running as a councillor (because I’m leftwing). A project built on fear and cronyism was always going to end this way.

This is completely mad. Britain has no history of polygamy. It's been illegal to enter into a polygamous marriage in England since 1604. When people come to this country, they should abide by our norms. Allowing them not to and then giving them taxpayer money for it is mental.

@johnmcdonnellMP has really mellowed out from his former past. Almost likeable as a person at least. His views are still batshit.

Steve Reed, a key figure in the political project that seized control of the Labour party & brought it to this point, says yesterdays results are what happens at this point in a 5 year parliamentary cycle. They'd rather burn the party to the ground than change direction.

A bittersweet moment this morning as Bob left to go home. He will be missed by everyone at Knockeen - particularly Davy and Jason - but we are delighted that he’s finished his career so happy and healthy, and he’s going to be even happier getting very fat and being very spoilt!

Wanna know what drives these attacks against Jewish targets? It’s the hate marchers and displays like this all over Britain and Europe. These people are “wanna be terrorists” and yet the law allows them to put display on in the city square.

Today, a man ran through Golders Green, a Jewish neighborhood in London, stabbing Jews outside a synagogue in broad daylight. The UK PM called it "utterly appalling." Here's what's actually appalling: For two years, Western streets have hosted marches calling for the elimination of Israel. Universities have celebrated it. Politicians have legitimized it. The media has normalized it. You don't get to spend two years mainstreaming the idea that Jews and their state have no right to exist and then act shocked when someone takes the message literally. Words have consequences. "From the river to the sea" isn't poetry. "Globalize the intifada" isn't a metaphor. When you spend years telling the world that Jewish presence in the Middle East or in Golders Green is a problem to be solved, don't be surprised when someone shows up with a knife to solve it. The ideology and the blade are the same weapon. One just has a longer handle.

Brilliant, bold and challenging address by King Charles to the U.S. Congress which was (very unusually!) united in regular standing ovations. The best speech of his life, right when his country needed him to step up and repair the Special Relationship. Bravo, Your Majesty! 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

Today I learned Japan’s Kansai International Airport, which opened in 1994, has never lost a single bag. 20-30 million passengers per year for 32 years and ZERO lost bags.
