I’m proud to see how my colleagues in Gaza are continuing to provide specialised rehabilitation care to patients, despite supply restrictions imposed by the Israeli authorities. I know that our late colleague Abood, my friend and the cornerstone of @MSF’s physiotherapy work in Gaza, would have been right alongside, finding innovations in the best way he could. I’m glad to see his legacy.

During my visit to Darfur, Sudan, I met @MSF colleagues at Zalingei hospital, where drone strikes regularly occur just outside the walls. During mass casualty events, they work under intense pressure to save lives. The world must not look away from the conflict in Sudan.

I visited Zalingei Teaching hospital in Central Darfur, Sudan, earlier this month. The hospital had been bombed and looted and I was proud to see the work that our teams had achieved in restoring healthcare to people – something that should never have been lost.

Together with @ICRC and @WHO, to mark 10 years of Resolution 2286, we’re calling on world leaders to act and show the political leadership needed to end attacks on medical care. Healthcare must never be a casualty of war: msf.org/joint-call-icr…

10 years ago today, the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2286. Over 80 Member States committed to protect medical humanitarian work. Yet @MSF is sharing the same message from 2016: 🔴 Stop bombing hospitals. 🔴 Stop bombing health workers. 🔴 Stop bombing patients.

Dr. Javid Abdelmoneim @MSF_IP , International President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is visiting Darfur, Sudan, to see first-hand the organization's medical activities, meet patients, and engage with local interlocutors to help ensure safe and sustained humanitarian action.

🎥 @MSF_IP says that meeting with old colleagues and seeing the impact of our work in Khartoum, Sudan, made his heart swell. Next, he will be going to Darfur to see how teams are caring for people whose lives continue to be torn apart by the country’s devastating conflict.
