@ChrisTest82 @atllandtrust maybe flood plain issues? Google maps suggest creek/culvert (partially underground?) cross the parcel. Would also explain Watershed being involved

@MeshaMainor And the District with highest # of charters also has highest (by far) $/FTE...and definitely not highest performance. 'Shocking'

This is such a fascinating idea.
Our memory being biased toward positive information (nostalgia)
+
Our present-focused attention being biased toward negative information (threat)

Not sure if everyone caught it- but last week at the @ATLParksandRec budget hearing the Commissioner confirmed that six brand new Pickel Ball courts will be built in Atlanta this coming year and more to come!
I know @ATLpickleball will be there for the opening

@mwgarbett Why the sudden problem tagging people? It’s not ‘council’ it’s @keisha_waites and @councilmanlewis pushing this

Every study: Teen curfews don't reduce violence.
Atlanta Council: It's like speed bumps. We don't read that things don't work. We just pass legislation based on things we heard about from years ago.
Me: But it doesn't work.
Council: Oh, but it gets good coverage!

@ChrisMu67512385 @atlurbanist In many cities (especially anywhere with snow) the property owner is responsible for sidewalks, they get the most value from them and are in the best position to maintain; expecting the city to take it on is/was ridiculous
English

@atlurbanist Atlanta property owners are responsible for their sidewalks.
Obviously, that strategy has not worked well. But, the law(s) would have to be changed. Which also means a large increase in taxes- review your property tax bill to see how little the City takes vs APS, for instance
