.@nytimes: “Easing sanctions on Russia at this critical juncture, instead of increasing pressure, risks fueling Russia’s aggression and undermining progress we have made to reduce Russia’s global energy leverage,” Representatives Don Bacon, Republican of Nebraska, and Gregory W. Meeks of New York, the top Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said in a letter to Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio demanding answers on the administration’s decision to ease sanctions on Russian oil. nytimes.com/2026/03/25/us/…

@WIJGalt13 @ghostofRoc @UKikaski Try to be a bit objective & rational if ur going to use an Ayn Rand handle. What money was given to Ukraine “freely”? The US never gives money without strings attached. US never set red lines about hitting russian energy.

Ukraine is a state that allows for the laundering of money that has been given freely to them to fight the war by the American taxpayer, a war that they continue to cross red lines set by the US by attacking energy infrastructure in Russia as the US tries to mediate and end the war. Add on top of that secret biolabs, the ending of free elections, the adoption of Nazi brigades into their ranks and the forced kidnapping and conscription of citizens into their ranks to become fodder in the war machine, and this becomes a country the US should not sink a single dime into ever again and let Europe handle if they want this kind of creature as a friend. The US should 100% leave NATO. It is obsolete and Americans gain absolutely nothing from continuing an old set of one-sided alliances. It is way past time for the EU to build its own military and wage it's own proxy wars.

‼️𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗜𝗜 Kyrylo Budanov: "The third world war has been going on for a long time and it started in Ukraine." I will add that the kinetic war, which was started by Russia in Ukraine, has now migrated to Iran. The Pentagon knows this, briefs on it, but can't get beyond a President who calls Zelensky a dictator while holding the door open for Putin. We can't send our troops into battle against the same Russian-designed drones being used to kill Ukrainians. This makes no sense anymore and we all need to start calling it out. #OSINT #Bromance

@TheBushCenter @ZelenskaUA How far we've fallen. Ukraine is not an ally, and the billions of dollars of every American's tax dollars is unaccounted for. Make a statement re: Obama's actions that led to the Ukraine land grab and maybe we'll give you a listen.

George W. Bush Presidential Center
Today, President George W. Bush and Mrs. Laura Bush welcomed Ukrainian First Lady Mrs. Olena @ZelenskaUA to the Bush Center. “We admire your country’s bravery and ingenuity,” said President George W. Bush. “We want the people of Ukraine to know that we continue to stand with America’s ally, Ukraine. You are fighting for freedom, and I believe you will prevail.”  Ukraine’s defense against an unprovoked full-scale invasion from Vladimir Putin has now entered its fifth year. Vladimir Putin is responsible for the gravest security crisis on the European continent since World War II. The Bush Institute continues to believe that now is the time to stop him – and to do so, the U.S. must continue its support of Ukraine.

Blah, blah, blah… “unprovoked invasion…” is all bullshit narrative speak. The U.S. backed the illegal, violent Maidan coup in 2014, allying with Neo-Nazi, nationalist forces like Svoboda and Right Sector, to overthrow a democratically-elected president, plunging Ukraine into civil war. Russia worked with the Minsk group to reach a settlement for 8 years, while Kiev bombed their fellow Russian-speaking citizens in Donbas. Putin stepped in to stop the decimation of Donbas.

@RepDonBacon I’d rather ally with Putin than with Israel or Netanyahu. In fact, I’d trade Donald Trump for Putin.

We need to support Ukraine’s effort to ensure that authoritarianism does not win. Putin and Xi want to relitigate the fight between authoritarianism and democracy, and they believe they can win. Four years later, Ukraine holds the line and authoritarianism has not won. @cepa

Ukraine has been winning back territory the last 3 months. It is wrong for the Administration to push Ukraine to give land not in Russian control to Russia as part of a peace agreement. This is appeasement and rewards the invader. What happened at Sudetenland in 1938?

Many more @HouseGOP need to sign on to this measure to help Ukraine arm itself and push back the russian aggressors. Thanks to @RepBrianFitz & @RepDonBacon for leading

.@RepStenyHoyer is right. Congress should pass legislation helping Ukraine acquire the weapons it needs to defend against Russia’s invasion & tighten sanctions against Russia. We have 217 signatures to force a vote & only need one more. Americans overwhelmingly support Ukraine & want us to do more. hoyer.house.gov/media/press-re…
