Just because you don't take an interest in politics doesn't mean politics won't take an interest in you. Take an interest and be clear in what you want.

@Matt_Camenzuli No, there is not talk of military conscription. There is one article that uses the idea to drive clicks to make money from ads.

There is now talk of military conscription in Australia. Let's be brutally frank, I have no interest in being drafted or seeing my sons be drafted to fight a foreign war on behalf of an Australian government I do not respect. One that clearly loves to tax but doesn't care.

@browncharley23 @MStanton2001 @Schtang @k_mahlburg Eliminates vote-splitting among similar ideologies. Minor parties or independents rarely win. Reinforces two-party system. final count is Labor vs Coalition. Preference benefit major parties disproportionately. major parties can win with relatively low first-preference votes

One Nation appear to have become the new opposition party in the first Australian state or territory. History in the making here in South Australia 🇦🇺

@Schtang @k_mahlburg Yeah the two party system survives. There is no true opposition allowed in Australia. We really don’t have a choice. When labor preferences liberal party, you know the system is cooked

No, I just cant believe there are so many retarded Australians. I know you think you need to vote Labor to keep your welfare money - but the problem with welfare is that you need a wealthy country with lots of taxpayers to fund it. So you are actually voting to kill your welfare. Make sure you take videos of your suffering when that comes back to bite you in the arse. We might as well get some joy out of it.

Tomorrow's the big day – here's what the pollsters are saying before the South Australian election ⬇️ Labor retains the lead in every poll (ranging from 59% to 61% on a two-party-preferred basis in polls that included that figure), while One Nation is between 21% and 28%

@WarDaddySupreme @ElectionTime_ RCV isn't stopping Republicans getting elected. You can vote for whoever you like and if the majority of voters agree then you'll get your preferred candidate.

My updated 2026 Senate Forecast projects that Republicans will retain control of the upper chamber of Congress with a 53-seat majority. 2026 US Senate 🔴Republicans 53 Seats 🔵Democrats 47 Seats The GOP is on track to flip Michigan while barely retaining Maine. Meanwhile, Democrats are expected to take North Carolina and hold on to Georgia. Ohio, Alaska, and Texas may be more competitive than usual, but it remains unlikely that Democrats will actually win them.

This is why the left wins. It has solidarity. It doesn’t throw its own under the bus when things heat up. I’ll just leave it at that.

@awordandablow @ronInBendigo The campaign funding laws did not make it more difficult for minor parties with genuine support to gain funding neverless get elected. It mainly effects the Clive Palmer's of the world. All parties should be treated with the same standard.

@MStanton2001 @ronInBendigo The majors colluded to pass laws that make it more difficult for minor parties to campaign and get elected. So minor parties are already treated differently and shouldn’t be held to the same standard. They have a different role from majors in our 2PP political system.

I'm all in favour of the Liberals and Nationals campaigning to win in their own right. But if they preference Labor or Teal higher than One Nation, they're finished.

@awordandablow @ronInBendigo Liberals and Nationals traditionally have run in regional and rural seats against each other with no incumbent from either party That's irrelevant. You don't think other parties get support from a wide variety of sources? You don't get 30% of the vote with a narrow support base

@MStanton2001 @ronInBendigo Except the major parties are well established and the Liberals historically didn’t run candidates in seats against Nationals. ON had ~7% of the national vote at the last federal election. That additional 20%+ can’t just come from lost coalition voters.

@awordandablow @ronInBendigo Every party needs to attract a lot of voters to be successful. One Nation isn't playing by a special set of rules. Principles should be applied consistently.
