We join our brothers and sisters of the @NYPDnews in mourning the passing of Rabbi Alvin Kass, a true friend whose presence meant so much to the @MTAPD family. His kindness, wisdom, and lifelong dedication to service left a lasting mark on law enforcement across this city.

Last week, @MTAPD District 6 & highway units + local law enforcement agencies participated in Operation Blue Santa Good Night Lights throughout Westchester + Putnam Counties & brought holiday spirit & joy to children at the Westchester Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

Last week, at the Hudson Valley Irish Festival Crossing Detail, @MTAPD provided safety and security to MNR (Metro North Railroad) crossing and educating customers on MNR track, safety rules, and regulations.

Last week, @MTAPD Community Outreach/Operation Lifesaver detail for Railroad Safety/Crime Prevention at the Huguenot Station.

Last week, @MTAPD participated at the Poughkeepsie National Night Out event.

Last week, @MTAPD was in Brentwood, LI for National Night Out. The event was a success bringing the community and police together. 👏🏽💙🖤

Funeral Information for our @NYPD102Pct sister P.O. Emilia Rennhack

Last week, @MTAPD held their K-9 Graduation. During this ceremony it was revealed that K9 Sony would be named in honor of one of our fallen heroes, NYPD Police Officer Sony Clerge. 
 These graduates are part of the MTA Police Department Canine Unit that will help to ensure the safety of NYC as residents & visitors utilize public transportation.

Last month DHSES partnered with Amtrak PD and @MTAPD in preparation for Memorial Day Weekend on a NY-SECURE counterterrorism operation along the Amtrak Empire Line. These drills help to ensure that our @MTA and @Amtrak stations are safe and secure for all commuters.
