By a joint decision of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia and the Batumi State Maritime Academy, the Academy’s training vessel has been named CAPTAIN TENGIZ GADILIA—a memorial honoring the legacy of deep-sea captain and former Harbor Master of Batumi, Tengiz Gadilia.

We would like to officially state that Georgia does not have maritime passenger traffic with Russian ports. Additionally, Georgian side was not addressed by the Russian side, thus we are unaware of the negotiations that the Sochi port administration is referring to.

It is our steadfast objective to develop South Caucasus into the region of boundless opportunities, with the ultimate goal of enhancing livelihoods of our citizens and ensuring a prosperous future for generations to come.
