@MTGCal Really appreciate this. As Corey says, I'm all over the broadcast, just not in quite the same way. But, for example, Corey, Steel-Cutter? Yep, I'm the guilty one.

@AHubbardTMP @TeamMainPhase It doesn't come across the wrong way. Good to hear, good to know, will take care of this in Vegas. This is exactly why I turn up here after PTs to hear stories just like this. You shouting your successes is more than half the battle when, as you say, we can't see everything.

I just wanted to say how proud I am of @TeamMainPhase . We have come a long way over the past 1.5 years. We have put someone in the top 8 of every single Spotlight Series, and almost every RC that we attend since the beginning of 2025. For this Pro Tour, we had our 3 guys go 11-5, 11-5 and 10-6 respecitvely! We aren't your typical Pro Tour team. We don't rotate players based on qualifications. Instead, we focus on growing each other and helping each other succeed. Because of this, we don't have large numbers at a given PT. For Vegas, we will have 6 (so far). Small compared to other teams. We've had a lot of success as a team, but it does kind of suck that coverage doesn't see what we have accomplished. It was a bummer to see that our team wasn't represented for a feature match, even though this information was available to them. I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter, I'm more or less just venting some frustration. I do love the coverage teams, they have a hard job to do and its hard to keep an eye on everything that goes on. Hopefully this doesn't come across the wrong way. Much love!

@mtg_derrick I love your approach, and I hope you know how incredibly well liked you are around the PT. Every show is better with you in it.

Flying back home after a bit of a disappointing 7-9. That being said, I'm very grateful for every pro tour match regardless of the result and still had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Looking forward to a bit of a break until Vegas after a busy winter though

@kuismatti @sixmp5 Almost everywhere for me is near-identical, since I spend the vast bulk of my time inside/around the broadcast truck. 'Quality of life' things for me are nearby grocery stores, fast food, if my room has a fridge. And I do like a good museum if I have a spare day.

@MTGRich @sixmp5 I'd be curious to hear the reverse: is there something that makes you _like_ Richmond? Does it have a relevant upside? You can argue about how much the downsides matter, but there's clearly many of them. E.g. Traveling there is below par even within the going-to-the-US bucket.

can we fire whoever chose RICHMOND virginia as the location of a pro tour?

@sixmp5 Thanks, I do see that Richmond isn’t an ideal domestic flight route. Once you’re coming from elsewhere, it’s frequently just in a ‘going to the US’ bucket, and always multiple planes/whole day travelling.

@MTGRich travel. east coast cities are normally a 4hr flight for me, richmond is 7+hr voyage. all of my options to arrive are obnoxiously inconvenient and i miss two more days of school than i otherwise would cuz i need to fly out thursday. i cant imagine how international players feel

@Chosler Variety is the spice of life, and once you've played whatever the other deck was, you appreciate playing against counterspells all the more. And 4/5 really isn't that bad - surely glass half full rather than half empty? Will try to make it 100% counters next time.

Tried out Brawl on Arena and I have to say it's really not very fun to play against Tamiyo & counterspells.deck 4/5 rounds.

@MartinJuza @Huschenmtg @kaibudde Everyone is happy making a Top 8. But Kai in Barcelona 2023 seemed to me more than that. Complete, perhaps. I'd never seen him that way, and told him so. That's when he shared that there were bigger battles going on, and now it's the End Step. Safe travels to the best ever.

Yesterday @Huschenmtg and I visited @kaibudde, who is unfortunately battling the only opponent he cannot defeat. He is still thinking about Magic and enjoys the stories and kind words people are posting about him. He had some old packs he wanted to give to the community, so whether you know him personally or as a fan, we welcome everyone to share your memories and stories with him below and we will pick some of you to send those packs to ❤️

@MTGRich That's amazing. But I feel like I'd need a bit more verification than just their word if I were to make such a purchase.

The single greatest thing I’ve ever seen on the internet. Simply typed ‘mathematics’ on a second hand bookseller website… I was tempted, but it was the last 67p that broke me.

@kareng7630 @CCalcano Christian is playing poker with some other people. Several of them have pretty colored buttons of high value, like he does, meaning it will be hard to make them lose all their money quickly. Fortunately, that is true for them trying to make Christian lose, too. TL;DR: going well.

@CurtMTG I loved commentating, and would do Hosting again, but my job is live Producer of the broadcast, so I spend every PT in the truck, making the show - and I absolutely love doing that.

Being self-employed has challenges, but I'm watching Euros soccer, England test cricket, Wimbledon, and last night's Mets game simultaneously, all whilst 'working', doing Magic stuff for PT Atlanta. Important to live the wins, and not just wait to look back. Very lucky.
