@Smdster @SaffronOlive I feel like its strictly better than what we previously had but functionally almost identical, instead of agreeing to not playing a match you didn't need to play, you are just not asked to do so.

I'm sure it's not easy to do in practice, but I wish we could just ban intentional draws.

@Smdster @Chosler Yea but you gotta have $2-$3k spare to do that. Then again, I suppose the same is true for going to a bunch big magic events each year, so…🤷‍♂️

The American healthcare system is the best in the world. Went to the doctor for sleep apnea and he told me that my lowest oxygenation levels hit 78 & that anything under 90 was "incompatible with life." He said they'd make an appt 3 months from now, if insurance approves

@slaxslaxx @BenS_MTG Strong resume, good win rate overall. Similar sample to Nass/Yukuhiro but without a W or the extra miss on breakers.

I feel like there arent enough rankings and convos about who the best magic players are anymore. Who are the t10, who is the best? Chris Larson, Nate, Javier, Seth, Ken Yukihiro...? (I'm talking current like in the next PT not all time)

@Ajelenbogen @BenS_MTG Yeah Ken is pretty comparable to Matt Nass statwise (same sample size, 2 T8s w/ a win and 1 T16 breaker miss for each). Yuchen Liu and Ikawa are the other 2 multi-T8ers missing from my list, definitely could be an oversight on my part.

@BenS_MTG After a little more research/thought, not including Reid is an egregious oversight.

@BenS_MTG Seth, Javier, JED, Simon, Chris Larson, myself, Arne, Matt Nass, Nathan, Toni Portolan, cftsoc would be my top 11 (roughly in order but I didn’t give it a ton of thought)

@RossHunneds Tbf they might just have made it up. Their reporting on Worlds was just fabricated.

What I’m learning is that you should play neither Straight Storm nor Gay Storm at a PT under any circumstances

If I had a nickel for every time I’ve had a bird poop on me while I was indoors, I’d have 10 cents…

@Smdster If a land creature counts, could be simic Nexus, but common creatures are almost never good enough to see play otherwise, unlike common spells.

What is the most recent pro tour that was won with a common non-token creature involved in an attack? (Or conceded to a common that could probably attack next turn)

@MtgVinci I think Swiftspear does not count. It was uncommon in Brother's War and that was why it was Standard legal.

@Smdster Do you mean literally as the last turn in the PT-clinching win, or generally the creature is generally a win condition in the deck?
