Dear @PoliceUg! Today, a certain person, who identified himself as Patrick Chumbwe called me via 0744489020 and told me what seemed to be scam. Chumbwe said he was calling from @UCC_Official and works hand in hand with @mtnug. He intimidated to close my new MTN number, shouldn't I follow his instructions and dial some codes, and enter my NIN. Chumbwe emphasized that MTN and UCC, are undergoing a process of mass update of new simcards to track and block those thhat don't abide by new regulations. Amidst the phone call, I thought about recording him and that's when I started asking his abouts. He abruptly ended the call, ordering me to visit what he says is their MTN office in Bugolobi or Wandegeya or risk my new simcard. To whoever it may concern kindly help me know if Chumbwe is right or, should I take him serious?
