@mo7a1a @ToonMouthTyne We tended to win more often when Longstaff filled that hole. And we had Elliot Anderson and we still have Lewis Miley. Not always fancy but they put a bit more grit in the midfield and stopped us being sliced open through the middle.

Newcastle ran out of steam today. Three games in six days and they’ve lacked intensity and energy all over the pitch. This is their big flaw and has been for more than two years, they don’t rotate because the squad isn’t strong enough to do so. Villa far better and fully deserve to win #nufc

@alanshearer Because the people at the top aren’t as sharp and bright as they could be .They are old, stubborn reluctantly reactive and never proactive. What makes sense to everyone now, becomes policy in about a year a year or two after they have continued to earn multi£ million salaries.
