How to break the Leader Thune, Mitch McConnell blockade on the SAVE Act:
👉Any 5 Republican Senators can demand a special Republican Conference meeting 👉👉Senate GOP rules allow this via a simple call to convene.
At that meeting, they vote to replace .@LeaderJohnThune as Majority Leader and remove .@SenMcConnell as Rules Committee Chair.
New leadership = discharge the bill
from committee → floor vote → pass the SAVE Act before midterms.
The base is watching. No more excuses.

Did you know that Republicans in the Senate can replace Thune as their leader in just a few days? It's actually pretty easy to do.
1. If at least 5 Republican senators request a special meeting, party leadership has to schedule it. It can be done tomorrow.
2. At that meeting a leadership challenge can be formally made. Candidates for a new leader can be nominated. The conference can move directly to a vote. This can all occur the same day.
3. If members agree to proceed, a secret ballot vote is conducted immediately.
Results are typically known within hours.
It only takes 27 Republicans (for this term) to make this happen.

Thune is intentionally running out the clock for the midterms.
Senate Republicans raise more campaign funds when they don’t hold the majority.
Thune claimed the Senate needs to be unified to invoke the talking filibuster. Not true—they only need 51 “YAY” votes after invoking the talking filibuster. Republicans have the votes.
