tldr; fund people doing this work and stop larping/tap dancing for the aesthetics on the TL Lastly, I co-produced @MVMFPresents , an earlyyyy decentralized, hybrid music festival with a bunch of homies and projects. Broke entire servers. Had local events around the world. decentraland stole our name, structure and branded it as theirs, reeled in industry money x partners thn had some of their ppl threaten me (allegedly *cough*) multiple times. Ppl dropped like flies and it was Lindsey, myself and a fewww others (mostly OGs and Bitcoin homies) left to fight these ppl for the shit we built. MVMF was the dopest shit to happen to the cultural fabric of Web3. It took me a year to recover from the bs Secondly, PizzaDAO throws the largest decentralized event in this ENTIRE industry. Anddd events year around. Amazing, thoughtful events at that. 400+ events for BTC Pizza day. Why are they not funded to the brim?! Y'all want dope events but dont (or rarely) support or fund ppl and entities that do. Your friends snipe sponsorships thn bad mouth ppl so they can move in position. My people should be overly funded and resourced to do the work and continue to bring forth culture. Yall love mid tho! This current TL meta about events is about people centering themselves and their agendas at the expense of the community. Not about moving the needle. Maintaining the status quo at our expense. Let's keep it funky in crypto - FOR ONCE!
